About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Validation Engineer to join our team at Dana Incorporated. As a key member of our Light Vehicle Electrification Business Unit, you will play a critical role in the development and validation of electrified powertrains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the integration strategy and planning of electrification eAxle components, including ePump, park-lock, shifting, and other auxiliary components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and validate system/software V&V plans, focusing on functional requirements.
  • Plan, track, and monitor tasks related to system/software V&V, ensuring compliance with ASPICE SWE.6, SYS.4, and SYS.5 standards.
  • Work with the system/software V&V manager/lead to create test environments for integration and qualification testing.
  • Analyze requirements, create test specifications, and execute tests via HIL/SIL/MIL as needed.
  • Set up HIL/SIL/MIL systems and perform tests, specifying, composing, and executing test sequences, measurements, and experiments.
  • Support process improvements for system V&V, incorporating Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and ASPICE as required.
Requirements
  • 3+ years' experience in software validation.
  • 2+ years' experience with HIL environments such as dSpace.
  • 2+ years' experience with HIL testing methodologies, Python scripting, and tools (i.e., AutomationDesk, ControlDesk).
  • 2+ years' experience with products following ASPICE, ISO26262 methods.
  • 1+ year experience or proven knowledge of electric machines, power electronics, and understanding of EV powertrain control strategies.
  • Working knowledge of model-based software (i.e., Matlab / Simulink / Simulink Test / Simscape).
  • Understanding of Configuration Management tools (JIRA, Teams, SharePoint).
  • Understanding of Experience with Requirements Management using tools (Polarion, DOORS).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a high degree of intellectual horsepower.
