Key Responsibilities
- Engage in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of C++ applications across Windows and Linux platforms;
- Assist the team in troubleshooting and resolving client issues;
- Contribute to the overarching design strategy of major projects;
- Support management in delivery-related tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience;
- Proven experience in designing and developing scalable, high-performance server and embedded applications;
- Proficiency in client/server application development using C++ (familiarity with C++11, Boost, STL is a plus);
- Knowledge of real-time operating systems, inter-process communication, and multi-threaded programming;
- Experience in embedded system development and cross-platform solutions;
- Understanding of database systems and relevant languages;
- Familiarity with networking protocols and tools (e.g., UDP/IP, TCP/IP, HTTP, RTSP/RTP, Wireshark, Fiddler);
- Experience in Agile software development methodologies (SCRUM);
- Strong grasp of object-oriented design principles and design patterns;
- Commitment to enhancing quality through improved testability and automation (TDD/BDD);
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Strong independent judgment and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams;
- Fluency in both Italian and English.
Desirable Skills
- Experience with digital signal processing techniques, particularly in audio, image, and video domains;
- Familiarity with C, assembly language, SIMD instruction sets, and ARM development;
- Experience in developing and debugging Linux kernel and drivers;
- Knowledge of multimedia compression and streaming formats (e.g., RTSP, HLS, MPEG-DASH, H264, H265, mp4);
- Understanding of SQL, NoSQL, and time-series databases;
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes);
- Knowledge of formal design methodologies and languages for software development and system architecture, such as UML, SysML, OPM;
- Familiarity with additional technologies such as ActiveX, DirectX, Direct3D, and web development frameworks.
