Job Description

Within the Financial Accounting team in the Finance department, you will support the Finance Control Officer in managing and executing SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) activities as prescribed by ING in all their phases. The Finance Internal Control Specialist will support the implementation of the internal control system at the Bank aimed at mitigating the risk of inaccurate or false accounting records and/or fraud.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Finance Control Officer:

  • Support in managing and executing SOX activities as prescribed by ING in all their phases (scoping, process review, testing, reporting);
  • Support in evaluating the internal control system developed for SOX, for the various frameworks in scope;
  • Support in reviewing and analyzing risks related to processes within the perimeter (e.g. Collaboration in the Risk Assessment phase);
  • Assistance in defining the documentation required for controls and processes within the perimeter (e.g. Participation in Walk-through Meetings and updating of Minutes, cross-functional activities on all processes in scope SOX);
  • Assistance in preparing the testing phase and the subsequent monitoring of results;
  • Assistance in operational activities (e.g. transmission of testing results);Assistance in preparing SOX reporting;
  • Operational support through the local IT platform used for SOX activities:
    • Updating processes and controls within the perimeter;
    • Data extraction;
    • Monitoring the progress of SOX testing;
    • Updating testing results

Requirements

Laurea in Economia, Finance or related fields.

Periods of study in international contexts are considered a plus.

Technical, Language and other Specialized Skills

English: excellent level, written and spoken

Good knowledge of the Office package, particularly Excel, as well as Word and PowerPoint

Analytical skills;

Teamwork and problem-solving attitude.
