Job Description

Job Title: Quantum Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Engineer to join our team at Qbn. As a Quantum Engineer, you will play a crucial role in advancing the design of novel Quantum Processing Unit (QPU) architectures based on superconducting qubits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop CAD designs for new superconducting circuit layouts
  • Perform FEM electromagnetic simulations to optimize QPU performance
  • Support cryogenic RF characterization of superconducting devices
  • Collaborate with the Theory Modeling team to fast-track experimental activities
  • Act as a liaison officer with our Research and Development partners

Requirements:

  • PhD in Experimental Physics or Electronic Engineering
  • Candidates nearing the end of their PhD studies are also welcome to apply
  • Experience in at least one of the following: RF measurements, cryogenic setups, superconducting devices, circuit QED
  • Nice to have: Previous experience with cleanroom fabrication processes and FEM electromagnetic solvers (Ansys, etc)
