Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering team in San Miniato, Italy. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, manufacturing, and maintaining mechanical systems that represent the core of our product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out mechanical studies of electrolyzer products, including dimensioning packaging structures, optimizing integrations, and conducting detailed studies of mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Draw up plans for assembly lines of sub-assemblies and integrate and verify detailed studies at the product/system level.
  • Track mechanical requirements of subassemblies from the system/product specification.
  • Manage subcontracting of studies and realizations, including requesting quotations for mechanical sub-assemblies.
  • Ensure a technological watch on 3D design tools and manufacturing technologies.
  • Organize and lead technical meetings on the mechanical part.
  • Provide necessary information to monitor work done and remaining work to be done.
  • Consult with manufacturers for mechanical sub-assemblies during development and implementation phase.
  • During product assembly phase, provide components, participate, and validate development of manufacturing routings with method/manufacturing team.
  • Accompany and support manufacturing and assembly phases in the workshop.
  • Critique feedbacks to optimize design according to Quality, Cost, and Time criteria.
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree (or university degree) specializing in mechanics.
  • Previous experience in mechanical design, ideally in special machines, is considered a plus.
  • Experience in production (small and medium series) to integrate mechanical design in manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance in safety.
  • Very good knowledge of SolidWorks, knowledge of EPDM is a plus.
  • Mastery of office automation tools (Ms Office).
  • Knowledge of process equipment.
  • Ability to analyze technical documents for gas and electrical processes.
  • Fluent in English, French is a plus.
  • Knowledge of risks related to hydrogen is a plus.
