Key Responsibilities- Design and Development: Lead the development and implementation of avionics hardware designs in compliance with DO-254 guidelines throughout the entire development lifecycle.
- Hardware Requirements: Define hardware requirements, architectures, and interfaces based on system-level specifications and safety objectives.
- Verification and Validation: Conduct thorough verification and validation activities, including simulation, testing, and analysis, to ensure compliance with DO-254 objectives and project requirements.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed hardware design documentation, including plans, requirements, design descriptions, verification procedures, and compliance records.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, software engineers, and certification specialists, to integrate hardware components into overall avionic systems.
- Regulatory Compliance: Interface with regulatory authorities, certification agencies, and customers to support the certification process and address any hardware-related issues or concerns.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience: Extensive experience (5+ years) in avionics hardware design and development, with a focus on DO-254 compliance.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of DO-254 guidelines, processes, and objectives, with proven experience in successfully certifying avionic hardware components.
- Tools and Software: Proficiency in hardware design tools and software, such as schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics, Cadence).
- Communication and Collaboration: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware issues and propose effective solutions.
