WeRoad is looking for an experienced Staff Engineer (Vue / Laravel / Typescript) to join the team working on our customer facing platforms (Website & CMS).Role: Staff Engineer - FullstackLocation: Full remote (Italy, Spain, UK, France or Germany) or Hybrid (Milan).Type: Permanent, full timeSalary range: 55-70K + BONUSWhat you’ll doSupport the PMs, Engineering Manager (EM) and the team in developing front-end and back-end solutions (end user-facing and administrative user-facing) according to UX / UI designs, guaranteeing quality and scalability.Help the team identify front-end and back-end architectural solutions based on business logic and requirements, managing technical complexity.Help maximize the user experience and quality of our product (work on our website and CMS).Communicate and collaborate with the Leadership Team to maximize team impact.What you’ll bring to the tableProven experience in autonomously managing and delivering projects, coordinating stakeholders and team members to ensure cooperation and alignment.Autonomous in managing project requirements, implementation and delivery of backend/frontend solutions.Outcome and product-driven mindset.Experience in tech leadership, knowing when to delegate, manage, and lead.Experience in delivery management and Agile practices.Experience working with Product and Design to find optimal solutions to business requirements.Familiarity with using AI in development workflows with AI IDEs (Cursor / Copilot) and CLIs (Claude Code CLI or Gemini CLI).Technological experienceSEO and UI/UX on mobile and desktop applications.Vue / Nuxt (or React) and Typescript; PHP & Laravel; RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL; unit and integration tests.SQL Postgres / BigQuery (or MySQL); Git, Github, Github Actions (or alternatives); Docker and container management in development.Bonus pointsKnowledge of Clean Code, Clean Architecture, SOLID principles.Knowledge of Vitest / Jest / Mocha; knowledge of microservices architecture; message distribution systems (RabbitMQ, Kafka).Experience with A/B testing tooling (Growthbook, etc.); knowledge of DDD and domain principles; NestJS.Active member of the WeRoad community.What we can offerPerformance-based bonus – discretionary annual variable bonus based on performance and company results.A free WeRoad trip every year – travel discount or travel coordination support.Trust-based holidays with time off beyond contractual minimums within guidelines.Learning opportunities and growth support.New parent support – €3,600/year for 3 years after birth or adoption (prorated if starting mid-year).Extra benefits – meal vouchers, wedding bonus, and a one-off 5-year milestone bonus.Team events, co-working spaces and meet-ups.Selection processIntroductory call with Talent Acquisition Specialist.Technical and background-based interview with Hiring Manager.Case Study + second technical interview.C-level step + EMCulture Champions step.WeRoad is an equal opportunity employer.
