This Position reports to: R&D Team Lead Your Role And Responsibilities You will have the opportunity to propose and implement technology development and solutions. In this position, you will execute product development tasks using your technical expertise. Everyday, you will perform a variety of technology/engineering assignments, recognize problems and provide input on solutions. In this role, you’ll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. You will be accountable for: Keeping up to date with strategic plans and performing activities in line with the current direction. Contributing your own creative ideas to R&D projects and proposing follow‑up activities based on project results. Documenting work and contributing to written reports. Gathering information about ABB products and technologies and developing an understanding of technical drivers and customer value. Participating in working teams and offering assistance to co‑workers, providing consulting services to business operations and customers. Recognizing the importance of intellectual property in industry and understanding ABB’s patents relevant to your area of research, while managing risk in R&D projects. Qualifications For The Role Knowledge of electricity and its effects (thermal, dielectric, mechanical stresses) and mechanical/material/electrical engineering. Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD systems (preferably SolidWorks). Ability to read basic electrical diagrams and design solutions from scratch. Innovative, solution‑focused approach with strong written and spoken communication skills. Degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or a related technical field.
