Our team builds products that customers love – from mesh routers to high‑performance wired networking devices – and we’re looking for you to join us in shaping the future of the connected home.Key job responsibilitiesBlack and gray box testing on driver and userspace embedded softwareProvide additional cross‑functional test support for other team membersNew hardware test and supportDevelop ad‑hoc tests to support engineering debugWriting and executing test plans to ensure complete code coverageProviding detailed bug reports to the engineering teams using JIRAWork with distributed development and test teamsLeverage AI for debugging and troubleshooting, automationPrepare and maintain test beds and hardwareFrequent travel between Seattle, Washington and the Bay Area, CaliforniaExport Control Requirement Due to applicable export‑control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, a U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.About the team Our team is cross‑functional, spanning hardware, software, and manufacturing. We develop advanced Ethernet switching and gateway products that complement our mesh WiFi systems, and we’re looking for a highly focused QA Engineer to work on critical embedded firmware testing projects that keep our platform running smoothly. You will help validate software releases and ensure a great customer experience.Basic QualificationsExperience as QA lead on medium to large sized projectsExperience in automation testingBachelor’s degree in Computer or Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience4+ years in a Quality assurance role, at least 3+ years testing embedded firmwareWorking knowledge of UNIX/LinuxKnowledge of networking standards and protocols such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP, UDP, DHCPKnowledge of wireless networking (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be)Ability to effectively use AI‑driven tools for automation, enhancing test coverage, debugging and troubleshootingAbility to work independently and within a testing teamPreferred QualificationsExperience with consumer networking hardware such as routers, switches, wireless access pointsExperience using Python and/or Linux shell scripting skillsExperience testing mobile app testingExperience testing cloud APIsClear and concise communicationAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.#J-18808-Ljbffr
