We empower global enterprises and technology partners to adopt cloud‑native infrastructure, AI, IoT and data‑center technologies.LocationThis home‑based role is open worldwide.What Your Day Will Look LikeUnderstand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real‑world environmentsArchitect cloud infrastructure solutions such as Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, Spark on‑premises or in public clouds (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)Architect and integrate popular open‑source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, NGINXHelp partners offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical’s technologies on public clouds and in data centersDesign and publish joint reference architectures and perform technical validations with partnersPrepare and run onboarding sessions and workshops with partner teams to promote Canonical products and solutionsWhat We’re Looking ForExtensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automationExperience designing and implementing solutions on public or private cloudsPython and Bash understanding, troubleshooting skillsFluent written and spoken EnglishExcellent communication and presentation skillsHigh motivation, ability to multi‑task and follow up reliably on commitmentsInterest in customer‑facing engagement, including pitching and demonstrating solutionsInterest in new technologies like LXD, Juju, SnapsAbility to travel globally up to 30% of the timeDegree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or related technical fieldWhat We OfferDistributed work environment with twice‑yearly team sprints in person – we’ve been working remotely since 2004Personal learning and development budget of USD 2,000 per yearAnnual compensation reviewRecognition rewardsAnnual holiday leaveMaternity and paternity leaveEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOpportunity to travel to new locations to meet colleagues from your team and othersPriority Pass for travel and travel upgrades for long‑haul company eventsAbout CanonicalCanonical is a pioneering tech firm at the forefront of the global move to open source.
