Lead Engineer – Subsea Distribution Systems

Baker HughesEUR 50.000 - 75.000Join Baker Hughes as a Lead Engineer in the Subsea Engineering division, responsible for technical delivery of subsea power and control systems for offshore energy projects.Responsibilities Establish technical requirements based on customer functional specifications and project needs in compliance with international codes and standards.Lead and contribute to design development activities such as CAD modelling and documents creation ensuring alignment with requirements and schedule.Work cross‑functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, design, activities, and deliverables.Present design outcomes in design reviews when relevant.Be accountable for cost‑out activities, budget monitoring and engineering plans progress.Manage engineering suppliers from a technical standpoint, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with applicable technical and contractual requirements.Provide engineering support to program management and other stakeholders.Support the sourcing team through procurement, manufacturing and test of designed products.Provide consultancy advice to the project bid team.Qualifications Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.Subsea equipment knowledge and relevant design methodologies (desired).Robust mechanical design background with proven experience in a similar role.Proactive ownership and responsibility.Strong oral and written communication skills, fluent in English.Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.Benefits & Working Patterns Flexible working arrangements are available while we value collaboration and benefit from team co‑location in our Florence, Italy office.Baker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
