Product Engineer

Position Summary We are looking for engineering graduates (Master/Bechelor Degree in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent) to join our Product Engineering department.With the role ofProduct Engineer , the position will be based at Dana Italia srl, located inCrescentino (VC) .Direct report to : Engineering Manager or Product LeaderMain Responsibilities Handle all the technical aspects, especially related to design and support, of Drivetrain Components (Driveshaft, Double-U Joint, etc..) across the whole lifecycle:Concept development, feasibility study and design analysis of new products;Review and support product design and contribute to the validation activities (definition of test and/or validation programs);Analyze and support application process and approval; handle prototype, production release and implementation;Support the process optimization and implementation, with particular focus on analysis and calculation approach finalized to product design;Work in cooperation with other functions, suppliers, plant personnel and others to implement cost reduction, methods, process and product improvements;Work together with other Functions (product verification & validation engineers, manufacturing/process engineers, suppliers, purchasing, analysts) to assure the product launch;Support and Manage, if necessary, written and technical communication (including professional presentations) to customers.Job Position Requirements Education: Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.Professional background:Nice to have: 3 - 5 years of professional experience in theIndustrial sectorworking on thedevelopment of complex mechanical systems : previous experience in design & development of powertrain system will be appreciated.Hard skills:Good knowledge of standard approaches and methods for the design and validation of mechanical components.Knowledge of standard tools used to size mechanical components/systems under different point of view: functional, performance, endurance, etc..Be familiar with industrial process (stage gate) adopted for the project development, from the feasibility study to product phase-out will be a plus.Foreign languages:English , upper intermediate (B2) level as minimum for both spoken and written. Others language will be appreciated.IT skills:High computer’s skills in Windows OS, Microsoft Office suite and internet.Good knowledge of CAD tools (PTC Creo is preferred) and/or CAE tools.
