Senior Consultant - Hyperconverged Infrastructure and Cloud Professional ServicesRome,ItalyReq.Num.: N2088 We are looking for an experienced Technical Consultant to join our Professional Services team in Italy. The Consultant will work in the Services organization to help clients establish architectural vision and direction. They will help clients design, deploy, and migrate complex applications as well as work with software developers, consultants, and engineers to create scalable and repeatable solutions for partners. About the Team The Nutanix Professional Services team delivers a strong influence on the success of each Nutanix implementation by its customers. The Services function ensures success by engaging with customers in the pre-sales and post-sales stages by assisting in their software-defined data center (SDDC) strategy and architecture. Besides helping customers implement Nutanix products successfully, the Professional Services team, working with our partners, ensures customer success in fully implementing their virtualized and software-defined data centers. The Nutanix Professional Services Consulting function includes assessment, design, implementation, integration, and automation services as well as project management. Your Role Lead the high-level and detailed design of Nutanix-based HCI solutions, ensuring alignment to customer requirements and industry best practices. Design cloud-connected clusters, hybrid architectures, and NC2 deployments. Deployment & Integration Execute end-to-end installations and configurations of Nutanix HCI platforms, including storage, virtualization, networking, and security components. Integrate Nutanix solutions within complex enterprise ecosystems. Bring foundational database administration or engineering knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.). Become a trained NDB Subject Matter Expert for Southern Europe, supporting database automation projects and providing internal enablement. Migration Projects Lead or support large-scale migrations from VMware to Nutanix, including assessment, planning, execution, and cutover. Contribute migration best practices and lessons learned to the wider team. Act as a trusted advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Produce high-quality documentation, runbooks, and knowledge artifacts. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members. What You Will Bring At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing data center infrastructure virtualization projects in regards to Enterprise compute, network, and storage. Validated working and hands-on experience with Nutanix AHV or other Industry-leading virtualization products (e.g. vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, NSX, vSAN, SRM) within large-scale IT production data centers. Prior involvement in large-scale migrations, ideally VMware→Nutanix. Ability to manage complex technical conversations with senior customer stakeholders. Strong communication, documentation, and project delivery skills. A Nutanix NCP/NCS or VMware VCAP would be a huge plus. Experience with database automation platforms or Database-as-a-Service solutions or Kubernetes/cloud-native technologies is a plus Fluent Italian and English language skills Work Arrangement Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
