Exide is looking for a Quality Engineer reporting to the Supervisor Internal Quality Plant .
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving product and process quality standards through performance monitoring, non-conformity management, problem-solving coordination and operational support to production. The role will work closely with Production, Process Engineering, Maintenance and the Quality Team to identify, analyze and resolve quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Monitor quality performance of production lines and analyze quality KPIs (scrap, defects, complaints, PPM, blocked material);
Coordinate and lead structured problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa and Root Cause Analysis;
Maintain and update quality documentation, including Control Plans, Work Instructions, Inspection Standards and Visual Aids;
Participate in PFMEA activities and support risk analysis reviews and improvement actions;
Conduct Layered Process Audits (LPA) and support internal, customer and certification audits;
Deliver quality training to operators and team leaders, promoting a strong quality culture across the plant;
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and reduce process variability.
Previous experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably Automotive;
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 quality standards;
Good knowledge of Automotive Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D);
Experience with structured problem-solving methodologies and Lean Manufacturing principles;
English level B1 or higher;
Good command of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel;
Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and data analysis tools; Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and in a shopfloor environment. Exide offers: multinational company context, interesting salary package, company meals service and the opportunity to grow in an international environment.
