MBDA Italia is the Italian company that is part of the multinational MBDA group, a world leader in the missile systems sector. MBDA represents the first Group at European level with production and design capabilities able to cover the entire range corresponding to the current and future needs of the armed forces (land, air and sea). Within the "Seekers & Datalink Systems " Directorate, MBDA Italia SpA is looking for a "Radio Communications RF System Engineer ". Required Qualification :

Master's Degree in Electronic Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering, with a focus on radio communications.

Professional experience

Senior applications with at least 10 years of proven experience will be considered.

Activities foreseen for the role : The selected resource will carry out the following activities:

Definition, flow-down and tracking of radio communication system requirements, based on Software-Defined Radio architectures, digital boards and RF chains;
Architectural and sizing studies of RF chains, link budget studies;
Development of RF chain simulation models;
laboratory activities, use of instrumentation for the evaluation of RF chain performance
Interface with external subcontractors and research bodies.

Professional Skills :

Knowledge of the aspects of Communication Theory and radio communication systems.

Knowledge of the MATLAB and Simulink environment for end-to-end modeling and performance evaluation of radio communication systems;
Knowledge of transceiver RF architectures and related components, knowledge of RF simulation environments (VSS, PathWave System Design);
Experience in drafting specifications, tracking and validating requirements for radio communication systems and related RF chains
Knowledge of laboratory instruments (Digital Oscilloscopes, Spectrum Analyzers, Arbitrary Waveform Generators; Network Analyzer)

Language skills :

Knowledge of English (at least B2 written and spoken)

Effective written and verbal communication;
Results orientation;
Autonomy and proactivity;
Willingness to travel.
