Health, Safety and/or Environmental degree preferred. Professional certification in HSE‑related field preferred.ExperienceIntermediate level of experience required, including experience in management of health, safety and environmental ISO Standards required. Minimal management experience preferred.QUALIFICATIONSThis role will be responsible for managing a team of four hourly employees. Three safety coordinators and a training coordinator. The HSE supervisor will be responsible for working with the site manager to set the safety strategy and conduct root cause analysis on safety incidents in the facility.Ability to quickly learn and apply site‑specific HSE policies and procedures, build strong working relationships with employees and site leadership, and assess gaps between current practices and desired HSE standards within the first 90 days.Demonstrated experience addressing operational safety risks related to powered industrial equipment and pedestrian interaction, as well as developing and implementing safe material storage practices within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional teams to develop engineered and systems‑based safety solutions, rather than relying solely on behavioral controls.Strong interpersonal, communication, and engagement skills, with a collaborative leadership style that emphasizes delegation, coaching, and employee involvement .Experience leading safety efforts in environments where common incidents or near misses include dropped product, ergonomic risks, and slip/trip/fall hazards .Experience piloting, launching, or significantly improving site‑level safety programs, including translating best practices into sustainable, day‑to‑day operations.Cummins and E‑VerifyAt Cummins, we are an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer dedicated to diversity in the workplace.
