Technical Assistant Operations

Overview This is a full-time on-site role for a Technical Assistant Operations & Safety. The candidate will be part of the Operations & Safety area and will provide technical and operational support to production functions, collaborating with Plant Management and the HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) Department.The role involves cross-functional involvement across various production departments (iron/steel processing and rotational molding), with a focus on safety, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.The Technical Assistant will support day-to-day operations by providing technical assistance and support related to operational and safety processes. Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing data to improve operational efficiency, and providing assistance to ensure workplace safety compliance. The role also involves collaborating with the stakeholders and the internal teams, and communicating effectively to resolve any technical problems.This is a full-time on-site role located in Limena for a Technical Assistant Operations & Safety. The role includes providing technical assistance and support to ensure operational efficiency and adherence to safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include offering technical guidance, analyzing operational data for improvements, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Collaboration with various teams and stakeholders will be essential.Qualifications Strong Technical Assistance and Technical Support skillsAnalytical Skills for evaluating and improving operational workflowsExcellent Communication and Customer Service abilitiesProactive problem-solving attitude and ability to implement solutions efficientlyExperience or knowledge in safety compliance procedures is a plusBachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Operations Management)Ability to work collaboratively within a team environmentMain Responsibilities Support the operational activities of the production departments, collaborating on the optimization of processes and workflowsCollaboration in the implementation and maintenance of HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) procedures in compliance with current regulationsSupport in risk assessment, incident analysis, and the definition of corrective and preventive actionsSupport in the management of technical and safety documentation (DVR, operating procedures, work instructions, internal audits)Support in staff training activities on safety and good operating practicesCollaboration with department managers for the continuous improvement of safety and efficiency standardsInterface with external suppliers, consultants, and, when necessary, with the German parent companyParticipation in technical and industrial improvement projects (lean, layout optimization, etc.)Requirements Education: Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Management, or similar)Technical Skills: Knowledge of production processes Industrial, preferably in the metalworking and/or plastics sectorsBasic knowledge of Italian regulations regarding occupational health and safetyAbility to read technical documentation and operating proceduresLEAN MANUFACTURING: Good knowledge of Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen/Lean Manufacturing philosophy and practical experience, at least with basic techniques such as 5S, TPM, SMED, Poka Yoke, Kanban, Visual Management, PDCA, etc.Personal Skills: Aptitude for fieldwork and a practical approachOrganizational and problem-solving skillsGood communication and interpersonal skillsPrecision, reliability, and a focus on continuous improvementLanguages: Good knowledge of English. Knowledge of German is a plus, but not a requirement.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in structured production environments.
