This position requires the successful candidate report to a site location. Amazon has multiple WBLP trainee openings between . Trainees will participate in our 12‑month work and training program in our Northern Virginia facilities.All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations:Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; and participate in group lifts for 41+ poundsAbility to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to participate in primary responder rotation and provide after‑hours support as neededWorking in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environmentsBending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a dayAscending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely and without limitationNOTE: Amazon is not able to provide sponsorship now or in the future for these positions. (Internal Only Section)Key job responsibilitiesLoad and unload company vehicles for delivery and returnComplete pre‑trip inspection documentationDeliver inventory from warehouse to data center via cargo van or freight truckPick up inventory from data center to warehouseMonitor transportation ticket queuesTransact inventory virtually within internal inventory systemsOperate forklift and cherry pickerClean and organize work areasCommunicate effectively with warehouse, data center, and logistics teamsAdditionallyThis role may require travel between multiple sites within the same geographical region in a personal vehicle, with the ability to drive in different weather conditionsThis role may require supporting partner team backlogs including pulling customer requests, receiving inventory, reverse logistics functions, and cycle counting inventoryA day in the lifeThe Logistics Transportation Specialist transports inventory from location to location, reviews delivery ticket queues, and monitors ongoing demand. They ensure proper stock levels are maintained across all locations through directed movement between sites to support build and repair activities. Working with the Logistics Manager, they ensure timely deliveries and the correct items are moved. Regular and ongoing communications with peers and leadership to resolve issues and help them understand our business requirements necessitates a high‑level communicator.Logistics Transportation Specialists are responsible for accurate data entry and resolving questions from peer organizations.Responsibilities can include manual tasks, such as assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the delivery of merchandise and materials.
