Offer Description

The project aims to develop and validate low-cost RGB imaging methods for monitoring vegetable crops in simplified Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) systems. Images acquired using commercial cameras and smartphones will be analysed to identify digital indicators of crop growth, phenological development and responses to abiotic stress. Image-derived traits will be validated against conventional agronomic and physiological measurements. The project will deliver simple, robust and transferable monitoring protocols, supporting the adoption of accessible digital technologies and improved resource-use efficiency in low-cost CEA systems.
