GRID COMPLIANCE Senior ExpertCESI SpA seeks a Senior Expert in Grid Compliance within its Consultancy Division.OverviewCESI has been involved for decades in consultancy activities related to RES penetration and Grid Code compliance, such as:Planning/operational studies related to RES penetration and Grid Code harmonizationAssessment of technological issues related to RES installation, both onshore and offshoreSolar/wind/BESS resource exploitation and yield and historical data assessmentAssessment and interpretation of relevant Grid Codes and Grid Connection StandardsSupport to grid operators in developing their own Grid Codes and Compliance ProcessesProvision of Grid Code Compliance Services to project developersGrowing activity includes execution of electrical grid compliance testing on generating units and renewables power parks.The role is based in Milan, with business travel to Italy and abroad for consultancy and on-site testing.Job DescriptionTechnical review, assessment and interpretation of Grid Connection Codes & Standards and Grid Code Compliance processesDefinition of testing procedures for generating units and renewables power parksSpecification, planning and execution of compliance tests and measurements on generating units and renewables power parksAnalysis of measurements and preparation of testing reportsSpecifications of new features and functions for generating units to support the evolution of the electricity generation mix and the stability of power systemsQuality of deliveries to internal and external customersSupport to the evolution of the company business model and to the development of new initiativesKnowledge and experience with power systems simulation tools (e.g., Matlab Simulink, PSSE, DIgSILENT Power Factory or others) are considered a plus.QualificationsM.Sc. or B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering/Power SystemsRelevant work experience from System Operators (e.g., TERNA), power system, or wind industryKnowledge about grid connection code requirementsKnowledge about electricity generation technologiesKnowledge about power system stability, control and analysisKnowledge about electrical simulation software such as Power Factory, PSS‑EKnowledge about the energy market in ItalyItalian & English language, both written and spokenCompetenciesHighly organized and meticulousGood travel disposition (up to 50% of time)Service‑oriented work style, result‑oriented, able to work independently and within an international teamExcellent communication and presentation skillsConfident in talking with and presenting to external stakeholders (customers, grid operators, conferences)Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a growing environmentLanguages (fluent): English, Italian.
