As a Freight System Engineer , oversee the integration of braking and/or digitalization systems to ensure delivered solutions meet customer requirements. You will serve as the primary point of contact between project teams, Wabtec sites, and customers, both in France and internationally.
Design and develop railway braking systems and digitalization solutions.
Ensure requirement traceability and technical project consistency.
Participate in customer technical reviews and project milestone meetings.
Manage customer-requested modifications by evaluating their technical and economic impacts.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary, multi-site teams in an international environment.
Assume technical responsibility for projects and ensure the overall consistency of the solution through to commissioning.
Manage technical requirements and their traceability throughout the project lifecycle.
Required education and experience:
Higher education in mechanics or engineering.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an industrial environment.
Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic systems.
Ability to draft technical specifications and work on complex projects.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, or electronic blueprints and schematics.
Professional Italian and English (French is considered a plus)
Availability for regular travel within Europe and occasional international travel.
