With 30 offices across 14 countries, Fortil fosters entrepreneurial freedom and the empowerment of individual potential.We are seeking an experiencedSystem Safety Engineerwith a background in the defense or military sector to join a multidisciplinary team engaged in the development of complex systems for automotive and defense applications.Location: Piacenza, Italy.Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and implement System Safety processes according to MIL-STD-882E and IEC 61508 standards;Perform Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA) and Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA);Prepare technical safety documentation, including the System Safety Program Plan, Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Functional Hazard Analysis, and Safety Assessment Report;Support design activities in compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC;Collaborate with hardware and software development teams to ensure compliance with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Cybersecurity (UNECE R155) standards;Manage technical interfaces with customers, certification bodies, and suppliers;Participate in the verification and validation of implemented safety measures.RequirementsMaster’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechatronics, Aerospace, or equivalent);Minimum 2 years of experience as a System Safety Engineer or in a similar role within the defense or automotive industry;In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations:MIL-STD-882E, IEC 61508, ISO 26262, UNECE R155;Machinery Directive 2006/42/ECProven experience conducting safety analyses (HARA, FMECA, FTA);Good command of technical English (German knowledge is a plus).Why join us?Personalized support to help you grow your skills;>An ecosystem that encourages you to step outside your comfort zone;The opportunity to become a shareholder;Involvement in community and non-profit projects;A dedicated policy to support parenthood.Fortil is committed to equal opportunity.
