Who We ArePrysmian is a global cabling solutions providerleading the energy transition and digital transformation.Prysmian is a public company listed on the Italian Stock Exchange,with almost 150 years of experience, over 33,000 employees,104 plants and 27 R&D centers in over 50 countries.Everyone at Prysmian has the potential to make their mark; becausewhatever you do, wherever you are based, you will be part of a companythat is helping transform the world around us.Your Contribution To Prysmian's SuccessWe are looking for an Offshore Superintendent to join our office in Milan HQ.This role involves both Deputy Offshore Manager in the offshore installationsites and partial involvement as Installation Engineer in the office work.Marine Operation Superintendent in the offshore installation sitesThe activity is carried out mainly on installation vessels or, moregenerally, on other marine installation sites such as landing points andoffshore platforms.Main activities falling under the responsibility of the SuperintendentPreliminary works, such as route clearance, PLGR, pre-lay burial runs, mobilization of vesselsCable loading and layingCable burial with a wide variety of tools/machinesCable pulling through HDD conduits or onto offshore platformsCable repair and jointingResponsibilitiesOnce on site, duties and responsibilities of the Superintendent in the operative executionof cable installation works include a full variety of aspects:Technical/Quality, cable and equipment management and installation procedures, in compliance with specification and Project documentationHealth and Safety, for all personnel involved in the operations and reporting to the installation TeamEnvironment, as far as compliance with statutory and Company policy to preserve the environment and prevent pollution are concernedCompany Asset Care, for preliminary verification of test/certification, correct use during operations and respect of predefined maintenance for all assets, from the vessels and burial/subsea machines to all installation equipment and toolsProject constraints and specification, as far as the specific contract clauses are concernedOperative Schedule, in terms of efficiency and respect of plansClient relationship care, with the Client Representatives present on siteSupervision of Subcontractors during the installation phase (including all above aspects, Technical, Quality, HSE, Contract, etc)Interface with Installation Department Management, Project Management, Manufacturing, System Engineering, Quality, in terms of regular, suitable and correct reporting.Installation Engineer in the office workTasks are conducted in coordination with other colleagues of the Installation Department and with other functions such as System Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality, with the aim of supporting the execution of the submarine systems projects awarded to Prysmian.Preparation of installation documentation for the project execution.Subcontractor selection, starting from the preparation of specification to be used as technical documents in the request for quotation.Interact with project Clients, mainly on technical, planning, operative aspects.Prepare As-built documentation during project completion phase, mainly gathering all reports, records, certificates, quality documents issued throughout the project execution from all operative sites.Function requires significant travel on an international basis, 60/70% of time.You Are The Right Fit If You Have/areFluent in English and ItalianDegree in Engineering Technology or other Engineering related subjects.Preferably experience in a role involved in installation of submarine cable, more generally in the construction industry.
