Discovery School of Innovation | 26206 Oak Ridge Drive | Spring, TXStart Date: January 1, 2026Description, Responsibilities, & DutiesThe Preschool Director will be responsible for carrying out the school mission as well as the overall successful operation of the program. The Director will oversee daily activities, provide professional development to support the ongoing growth of employees, provide leadership in all areas of academic and non-academic programs and services, and support the school’s mission and continuous path of improvement. The Director will be responsible for the day to day as well as long-term planning and operating procedures, financial management and stability, all licensing and health and safety requirements, and address any issues that arise. Additionally, he/she will create a collaborative community including clear processes which promote open communication between students, parents, and staff.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIESAdministrationRepresent the preschool during community events, information sessions, open houses, etc.Assist teachers with parent conferences and writing reports as neededCreate and nurture a collaborative preschool climate where all feel welcome and respectedMaintain professional conduct of all staff members in alignment with the school’s guidelines and culture of kindness and extraordinary careEngage with all staff members and encourage team-building and collaborationServe as a liaison between the preschool and Head of SchoolManage the budget for the preschool in accordance with guidelines provided.Maintain and track all compliance related to the school building, materials, staff, and all aspects of the preschool with early childhood governmental laws, requirements, and regulations.Assist in creating and implementing school policies.Maintain necessary documentation and records for all students in the preschool.Implement ongoing strategies to maintain current students and recruit new students to grow the preschool.Provide tours to prospective families and promote a positive image of the entire school to all families.Collect and maintain required records and documents for all new studentsFacultyMentor teachers in implementing high quality Reggio-inspired teaching practices in the classroom.Encourage, plan and facilitate ongoing professional learningPromote team-building and collaboration amongst facultyEnsure that professional conduct is maintained that is aligned with the expectations and philosophy of the entire school.Assist teachers with conferences and student reports as neededSupport staff with issues related to students and families as neededRecruit qualified personnel and facilitate the on-boarding processPerform regularly scheduled teacher evaluations and provide feedbackEducationMaintain a culture of excellence by remaining up to date on professional development goals and sharing new learning with the team.Create a culture of learning and growing togetherSupport our path of continuous improvementMinimum Qualifications/RequirementsBachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education or related fieldExperience with the Principles and Practices of Reggio EmiliaCollaborative personality with strong problem solving skillsProvide at least 3 professional referencesMust agree to a criminal background checkSalary & BenefitsCompetitive Market Rate Salary Based Upon Experience with BenefitsApplication ProceduresNow accepting applications.
