PeopleSoft HCM and Payroll Client: Agency of the United Nations Location: Remote (Rome, Italy) Duration: 2 January 2026 to 30 June 2026, 120 days Rate: Based on experience Application deadline: 12 December 2025 Organizational context The Information and Communication Technology Division (ICT) of an Agency of the United Nations is responsible for providing information technology solutions and services to support the operations of the Agency and to ensure the most effective use of Information and Communications Technology tools and services. Duties and responsibilities Under the supervision of the ICT Solutions Coordinator, ICT, and the project manager, the vendor will be responsible for the deliverables listed below. Deliverables: The incumbent will update the functionality within PeopleSoft HCM to reflect updates to the Agency’s Guidelines, Implementing Procedures or other operational changes: Conduct workshops with user groups to confirm requirements Design solutions compatible with existing delivered and customised functionality Updates to payroll rules or payroll calculations, including benefits Updates to the process (including pages, components, workflows or other business logic) for the approval of benefits Updates to the eRCS module for any changes to the rules or process for consultant engagement Updates to Absence Management due to changes to the Agency Guidelines Updates to Teleworking for any adjustments due to the updated Guidelines Creation of test scripts Support testing efforts of the users for testing as well as issue tracking and management Delivery of all technical/functional documentation Support post-live of the final product Professional requirements Qualification and experience University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related discipline with at least seven years of professional work experience in PeopleSoft development. Experience of both designing and executing technical solutions from business requirements. Experience of data analysis. Experience of being lead and sole technical resource on a PeopleSoft project and working with non-PeopleSoft professionals. Ability to document technical projects. Experience of running and supporting user acceptance testing, including writing test scenarios. Technical Requirements: Experience with PeopleSoft HCM and Financials 9.2 Knowledge of Global Payroll, including the Supporting Elements, and Job data: functional and technical Experience with People Tools 8.5x, including expert knowledge of PeopleCode, Application packages and Integration Broker. Experience with SQL on Oracle database Data analysis experience, especially in PeopleSoft HCM Reporting tools such as Query and BI Publisher Knowledge of latest customisation configurations such as Event Mapping and configurable page elements Languages Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English essential.
