As we continue to expand our operations and influence, we are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our growing team.Position OverviewAs a Senior Data Engineer at our startup, you will play a pivotal role in leveraging data to drive decision-making and enhance our products and services. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and product managers to develop and maintain robust data pipelines, optimize data infrastructure, and contribute to the creation of data-driven solutions that propel our business forward.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and develop scalable solutions to address them.Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure reliable data extraction, transformation, and loading.Collect, clean, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources, user interactions, and operational systems.Design and optimize data models and schemas to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning applications.Conduct data quality checks and monitoring to ensure the integrity and accuracy of our datasets.Work on the fleet health optimization reporting using our BI (for example Relocation)Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau or Power BI to create visualizations and dashboards for effective data communication.Assist in building and maintaining data warehouses, data lakes, and other storage solutions.Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering and data analytics, and proactively contribute to improving our data infrastructure and processes.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Advanced programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL.Advanced knowledge of data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).Advanced knowledge of database systems (relational and NoSQL) and proficiency in SQL.Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau or Power BI.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative startup environment.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Language RequirementsProficiency in Italian and EnglishNice to HaveExperience with dbt and Apache Airflow.Knowledge of machine learning concepts and techniques.Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWSOpportunity to make a significant impact in a rapidly growing startup.Competitive salary and equity options.Collaborative and inclusive company culture.If you are passionate about leveraging data to drive innovation and eager to contribute to the future of urban transportation, we'd love to hear from you Join us in our mission to transform the way people move around cities while reducing carbon emissions and improving urban mobility for all.
