Job DescriptionWe are seeking a EHS Manager to join our team in Italy on a freelancer basis. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex projects in the Data Centre sector and thrive in an international environment. This is a site based project role The EHS Manager will be responsible for: Ensure awareness among project managers with regard to the subject of Safety. Prepare, implement, and monitor construction the project EHS plan. Lead of safety meetings with Client & Trades. Supervise client's project EHS oversight resources, including outsource EHS competent persons. Assessment and approval of contractor safety plans. Review and comment on High Risk Activities. Champion safety initiatives and support the Clients safety campaigns. Apply lessons learnt and best practice. Lead of investigations and root cause. Provide Safety support & guidance. Ensure the Clients safety requirements and local codes are met. Ensure synergy with the 'Safety Programme' led by Turner & Townsend. QualificationsSuitable candidates are likely to have several years’ experience in EHS lead Management positions. Demonstrable experience in working on large scale, complex projects - Data Center experience is preferred but not a requirement. Practiced in project control mechanisms and with technical risk assessments. Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others. Outstanding organization, coordination, and leadership skills – ability to coordinate and motivate groups of Consultants / Contractors. Experienced in developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and comfortable with being client facing. Ability to work collaboratively and pro-actively in a team environment. Availability for on-site work - 5 days a week. Business-level proficiency in English and Italian. Additional InformationOur people share our Purpose and Values.
