Wood is recruiting for a Senior Expediting and Inspection Coordinator to join its Projects – Process and Chemical team focusing on post order activities of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.

The Role

The Senior Expediting and Inspection Coordinator oversee and manages the activities of the expediting team and will be the main contact for all expediting activities, both at the desk and shop levels.

Expected:

BSc / MSc in in mechanical, chemical or energy engineering Certified Level 2 Operator for non-destructive testing (PT, MT, UT, RT) in accordance with the rules established by the standard UNI EN ISO 9712 or trained and certified according to other international standards equivalent to UNI EN ISO 9712 (. ASNT SNT-TC-1A) Welding Inspector in accordance with the EWF or CSWIP Proven experience in the role Self-motivation, a proactive outlook and good communication skills Empathy, curiosity, seriousness, aptitude for problem solving (being "pro-active") Ability to listen, ability to relate to various business functions (including management) of both the supplier and the customer Method for proceeding with the monitoring of the purchase orders (maintain a frequency of contact / visit with the supplier and check the main production steps) Ability to concisely
