It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion‑dollar business and we are looking for an entrepreneurial‑minded Senior Financial Analyst to work in a start‑up environment who is passionate about technology, manufacturing and FP&A, who thinks/acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions, processes and controls. Amazon Leo seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to support multimodal logistics and warehousing. You will have the responsibility for consolidating financial information, forecasting, reporting and analysis and will partner with the team that is designing the global logistic network to deliver terrestrial and orbital infrastructure. Success in this role will partner with and influence business owners. The successful candidate will need to be strategic, analytical, and have the demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams in a start‑up‑like environment.Key job responsibilitiesCreate effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide investment guidance based on data analysis during unexpected events.Present financial summaries and business insights to senior management (business and finance).Develop and implement long‑range business planning.Develop financial models for new business concepts and resulting financial impact to help drive data‑driven decision making.Build out and enhance P&L models for new and existing businesses, develop business insights and KPI dashboards, and lead ad‑hoc analyses.Work with big data and transform it into insights and information.Lead automation efforts of critical processes.Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively; improves, scales, or simplifies finance tools across teams and organizations.Participate in finance initiatives, including but not limited to process improvements, ad‑hoc analyses, and preparation of periodic reporting activities.Basic Qualifications3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.Export control requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Preferred QualificationsExperience in financial modeling, P&L management or analysis.Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).3+ years of delivering cross‑functional projects experience.3+ years of working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams experience.3+ years of positions that require analysis and reporting financial results experience.Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.Experience communicating results to senior leadership, or experience in building financial and operational reports/datasets that inform business decision‑making.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
