Abbiategrasso, Lombardy, Italy - 2 weeks agoOur client is seeking a senior Merchant Operations Manager to lead and scale Italian luxury merchants on our cross‑border e‑commerce platform. This role focuses on seller incubation, tiered merchant management, assortment strategy, and sustainable GMV growth, with close collaboration across product, BI, and operations teams.Key ResponsibilitiesDeep understanding of the European luxury industry, with proven experience in merchant incubation and lifecycle management.Establish and execute tiered merchant management strategies (KA / PKA / long‑tail sellers), with clear visibility into sellers’ assortment structures, sourcing models, and supply capabilities.Design and optimize growth pathways for key accounts, providing customized enablement plans and ongoing performance optimization.Continuously refine merchant operation mechanisms and workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.Cross‑border Luxury E‑commerce OperationsStrong familiarity with cross‑border luxury e‑commerce ecosystems, including onboarding, compliance, logistics, and post‑launch operations.Define tailored business objectives and growth targets for different merchant types based on platform positioning and business model.Support merchants in resolving operational issues post‑onboarding and drive assortment expansion and sales growth.Monitor competitive platforms and market dynamics, analyzing user structure, best‑selling categories, and emerging trends.Identify growth opportunities and translate insights into actionable merchant strategies to drive sustained performance across merchant tiers.Assortment & Trend EnablementMaintain strong awareness of luxury market trends, with the ability to source, track, and manage product intelligence.Understand the structure of new arrivals, hero SKUs, and clearance inventory from European suppliers in the China market.Leverage historical product data to enhance trend forecasting and identify emerging category or brand‑level opportunities, empowering merchant decision‑making.Cross‑functional Collaboration & Scale OptimizationPartner closely with Product, BI, and other cross‑functional teams to identify scalable, automated solutions to operational challenges.Translate merchant and operational needs into product or process optimization proposals, driving implementation and continuous improvement of both merchant and customer experience.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree or above.3+ years of experience in e‑commerce platform operations; prior experience in luxury merchant or category operations is highly preferred.Language & Regional ExpertiseFluent English as a working language.Prior work experience in Europe and strong familiarity with European luxury and fashion culture are strong advantages.Analytical & Strategic CapabilityHighly structured thinker with strong curiosity and deep problem‑solving capability.Proven ability to drive data‑driven decision‑making, with successful 0‑to‑1 project experience.Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.Execution & Stakeholder ManagementSelf‑motivated, proactive, and results‑oriented with strong ownership mindset.Excellent communication skills, project management capability, and cross‑functional coordination experience.Ability to independently drive initiatives from strategy through execution.Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills required (functions, pivot tables, etc.).High sensitivity to luxury market data, with strong data analysis, insight generation, and presentation skills.Salary: 100k - 150k EUR per year#J-18808-Ljbffr
