Manager III,Programmer/Analyst, ShipTech / LabelingAmazon’s transportation powers small parcel delivery through various tier-1 services. These systems manage and enable on-boarding new business use cases and 3P carriers onto Amazon's transportation systems. We have built a highly respected software engineering team which is focused on solving complex problems on behalf of the customers (carriers, logistic services) and work on simplifying, automating the onboarding process at scale.Your solutions will impact our customers directly This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running and your ability to learn quickly and work on disparate and overlapping tasks will define your success. High Impact production issues often require coordination between multiple Development, Operations and IT Support groups, so you get to experience a breadth of impact with various groups.Primary responsibilities include managing team which will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing and fixing production issues, developing monitoring solutions, performing software maintenance and carrier configurations and resolving technical challenges. Responsibilities also include working alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing our current software, automation of support processes and documentation of our systems.The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.Key job responsibilitiesWork with SDE, program teams, carriers, carrier POCs and deliver on planned programsOwn and simplify processes for deploying configurationsDrive operational excellence by handling tickets, identifying automation opportunitiesManage a team of 6 to 10 PA engineersBasic Qualifications3+ years of team management experience4+ years of programming using a modern programming language such as Java, C++, or C#, including object‑oriented design experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or other related disciplineExperience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object‑oriented design principlesExperience in problem solving and delivering resultsStrong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environmentPreferred QualificationsExperience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels and in different locales to drive alignmentExperience with AWS products and servicesExperience influencing internal and external stakeholdersExperience debugging and systems analysis to identify and quickly resolve or mitigate issuesExperience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solvingExperience in a 24x7 operational services or support environmentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
