Position Overview As a key member of the Medical Affairs function, the Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) will support Convatec’s Novel Antimicrobial Platform (CNAP) business by leading national educational initiatives, engaging healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders, and providing authoritative scientific expertise. Responsibilities include delivering compliant scientific and clinical education, representing Convatec at conferences, collaborating with global MSLs, and collecting product performance insight for R&D and commercial teams. Key Responsibilities Deliver accurate and compliant scientific and clinical education to external stakeholders. Present complex data clearly in oral and written form. Represent Convatec at national scientific conferences and industry events. Partner with regional and global MSL and Medical Affairs colleagues to develop and disseminate new evidence. Deliver tailored national educational programs to HCPs and collaborate with sales and marketing for local support. Develop long‑term relationships with national KOLs, HCPs, and other stakeholders and support evidence generation. Collect product performance and user feedback to inform R&D, MACA, and commercial teams. Share insights and best practice with national and regional MSL networks. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (MACA, R&D, Regulatory, Marketing, Market Access) to integrate insights into strategies. Act as national scientific lead for product launches, evaluations, clinical studies, and post‑market surveillance. Ensure all scientific discussions comply with ethical and regulatory standards. Provide scientifically accurate, balanced responses to off‑label inquiries while maintaining transparency. Skills & Experience At least 5 years experience in a medical scientific liaison or scientific/medical education role in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry, or at least 5 years clinical practice in wound care or a related field. Track record of presenting complex scientific/clinical data to KOLs/HCPs. Strong understanding of statistics and clinical data interpretation. Scientific and/or clinical credibility evidenced by presentations and/or publications. Solid understanding of the medical device landscape. Ability to rapidly master new clinical areas through training. Experience in wound care, infection management, or a related therapeutic area. Qualifications / Education PhD, MSc, or similar higher degree in a biological or biomedical science (e.g., biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, immunology, medicine, nursing, pathology, regenerative medicine). Alternatively, clinically relevant experience in a scientific or clinical role. Travel Requirements National and occasional international travel, up to 75 % of the time, with overnight stays. Languages Italian English Working Conditions Remote working with regular internal meetings at national and regional offices as required.
