Project Engineer – Renewable Energy (Solar PV & Storage) Fully Remote (Italy) to start, with optional Milan office once opened Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Are you passionate about accelerating the clean-energy transition? A leading international renewable-energy developer is expanding its presence in Italy and is looking for a Project Engineer to join its growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work remotely from anywhere in Italy initially, with the option to transition into a new Milan office as the team scales. Lead the design and coordination of solar PV, hybrid PV + storage, and grid-connection infrastructure. Manage and review external engineering firms, ensuring alignment with technical and company standards. Support development by evaluating project design status, technical constraints, and cost impacts. Estimate project yield and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, equipment suppliers, investors, utilities, developers, and landowners. Degree in Electrical, Civil, Industrial Engineering or related field. ~3+ years’ experience in a similar role within the Italian renewable-energy market. ~ Strong understanding of Italian permitting processes and familiarity with E-Distribuzione and Terna procedures. ~ Proficiency in AutoCAD, PVsyst, Google Earth, IMEDEXA (or similar), and substation design tools. ~ Strong project-management and cross-functional coordination skills. ~ Fluent English; additional languages a plus. ~ Experience with BESS projects is highly desirable. Work with an international team shaping the next wave of solar and storage projects in Italy. Influence projects from early development through to full execution.
