Open Position Post-Doc Researcher - Nanomedicine and Molecular Imaging Laboratory - Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri IRCCS Duration 12 months (renewable) Start Date January 2026 Project Extracellular Vesicle-Based Molecular Signatures for Personalizing Neoadjuvant Treatment in Triple Negative Breast Cancer (EV-PREDICT) Funded by FRRB under the program From Bed to Bench : The Way to Innovation Research Objective The research will focus on studying extracellular vesicles (EVs) as predictive biomarkers for response to neoadjuvant therapy in breast cancer. This involves isolating and characterizing EVs derived from biological matrices with varying levels of complexity, such as plasma, tissues, and PDOs (patient-derived organoids), in order to develop predictive models for patients with triple-negative breast cancer. Main Activities Collection and processing of tissue and blood samples Derivation and culture of patient-derived tumor organoids Histological and biochemical characterization of organoids and tumor tissues Analysis of EVs from biological fluids and culture medium Data analysis and interpretation Requirements PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, or related fields Expertise in cell culture, biochemical and histological techniques Experience in the analysis of biological fluids and biomarkers Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams If you are interested, learn more about our group’s activities here and contact us at: ; #J-18808-Ljbffr
