Finance Manager, Alexa Smart Home FinanceAmazon is seeking a Finance Manager to join the Alexa Smart Home Finance team. Alexa Smart Home is responsible for providing customers with new devices, services, and features that are core to the Alexa experience, supporting customer engagement and acquisition. Alexa now works with over 145,000 compatible smart home products and customers have connected more than 100 million smart home devices to Alexa. Everything we do is focused on making the lives of our customers easier through experiences they couldn’t have imagined.Finance supports these initiatives through rigorous analysis and strategic guidance. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end financial support for major investments across a diverse set of categories including new device hardware, software services, monetization initiatives, and cost controllership. The Finance Manager will support dedicated verticals within the Alexa Smart Home business with the opportunity to work with experienced leaders and teams across the world.Key responsibilitiesBuild financial models for new business conceptsPresent financial summaries and business insights to senior managementDevelop scalable and efficient financial processes that support a rapidly growing businessEstablish and maintain operating and business metricsLead short‑ and long‑term financial planningBasic qualifications5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experienceBachelor’s degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative fieldPreferred qualifications6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data and creating an escalation plan6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have proven impact on businessMBA, CPA, or other advanced qualificationKnowledge of SQL/ETL and experience with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos)Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis and interpreting resultsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
