Our systems are trusted on cruise ships, merchant vessels, navy platforms, and specialized maritime applications worldwide.Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and hands‑on Commissioning Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team. In this role, you will perform commissioning, troubleshooting, and field service activities across shipyards and vessels in operation. A typical day may involve boarding a vessel at the shipyard, completing commissioning tasks, interacting with customers on‑site, and finalizing documentation for handover.While the role requires a high degree of independence, you will work closely with Site Management, Technical Office, and other internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesRead, interpret, and accurately modify electrical drawingsPerform commissioning and field service activities according to work plansConduct troubleshooting, testing, fine‑tuning, and adjustments on automation equipmentIndependently perform complex repairs and full system overhauls when requiredExecute installation and pre‑commissioning checksCarry out commissioning tasks and hand over completed systems to customers and shipyardsLead and coordinate assigned teams during on‑site workCommunicate directly with customers throughout executionMonitor and report progress internally and externallyPrepare and submit comprehensive service reportsEnsure compliance with NACOS Marine QHSE procedures and customer site regulationsAdvise customers and promote relevant NACOS solutions and upgradesKey RequirementsMinimum 2 years of experience working onboard cruise or merchant vesselsSolid understanding of automation systemsHands‑on experience with Platinum, XD‑DNA, or Lyngsø Automation systems (preferred)Ability to read, understand, and update electrical drawingsStrong troubleshooting skills and ability to perform commissioning tasks independentlyCustomer‑focused mindset with strong communication skillsAbility to lead small teams during on‑site executionWillingness to travel domestically and internationallyStrong commitment to quality, safety, and professional conductWhy Join Us?At NACOS, we empower people to take ownership, collaborate, and innovate.
