The company supports complex space programs and provides end-to-end mission operations, ensuring high standards of performance and operational success.Position OverviewSpace Industries S.p.A., a leading aerospace company specializing in the assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) of small satellites, is seeking an experienced Quality Control Engineer to ensure the highest levels of quality, precision, and compliance throughout all space production activities.The selected candidate will be responsible for executing inspections and verifications on flight hardware, subsystems, and assemblies, ensuring full adherence to ECSS standards, customer requirements, and company quality procedures.This role requires a hands-on engineer with strong expertise in space manufacturing, AIT operations, and quality control processes, able to work autonomously in a high-reliability environment.Main ResponsibilitiesPerform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on components, subsystems, and satellite assembliesVerify compliance of materials and processes with ECSS standards, drawings, specifications, and quality plansConduct visual inspections, dimensional checks, torque verification, and cleanliness assessments (FOD control)Review and validate quality documentation (CoC, CoM, inspection reports, test results)Support and monitor AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) activities to ensure proper execution and traceabilityIdentify and report non-conformances, prepare NCRs, and support root cause analysis and corrective actionsCollaborate with Product Assurance, Engineering, and Production teams to resolve quality issuesEnsure correct handling, packaging, and storage of flight hardware in accordance with aerospace standardsParticipate in project reviews (MRR, TRR, TRB, QR, FR) providing inspection data and quality evidenceContribute to continuous improvement of inspection methods, tools, and quality control processesRequirementsDegree or technical diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or related fieldsAt least 3-5 years of experience as Quality Control Engineer or Inspector in the aerospace sector, preferably on small satellite or space equipment programsSolid knowledge of ECSS standards and space quality assurance requirementsHands-on experience in mechanical/electronic inspections, assembly verification, and AIT processesAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and specificationsExperience with measurement tools, inspection documentation, and traceability systemsStrong attention to detail, precision, and documentation accuracyCapability to work independently and manage multiple inspection tasks in parallelGood knowledge of English (written and spoken)Holder of a valid category B driving licensePreferred QualificationsExperience in ESA / ASI programs and institutional space missionsFamiliarity with cleanroom operations and ESD protection proceduresKnowledge of EN 9100 or ISO 9001 quality management systemsCertification or training in aerospace quality inspection or ECSS-Q standardsBenefitsWhat We Offer:A dynamic and stimulating work environment.Opportunities for professional growth and development.Metalmeccanico (CCNL) with compensation based on experience and skills.SPACE INDUSTRIES is committed to promoting diversity and inclusion within its workplace and welcomes applications from all qualified individuals, regardless of ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.Why Join Us?A unique opportunity for professional growth in a young and dynamic aerospace company.The chance to work on innovative projects with a global impact in the small satellite sector.A stimulating and collaborative environment, with the opportunity to contribute to shaping the company\'s future strategies.#J-18808-Ljbffr
