The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks. The developments cover the railways applications. The position is based in Genoa, IT. AccountabilitiesDetailed requirements definition for software components / systems Design and implementation of software components Verification and testing of developed software Release and support of delivered software componentsRequired Skills/ KnowledgeKnowledge of software development methodologies (agile methodologies, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, DevOps, …) Object Oriented Design and Programming Knowledge of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Java, RUST Knowledge of Linux operating system From 3 up to 5 years of experienceDesired Skills/ KnowledgeKnowledge of containerization technologies, specifically Docker Knowledge of database technologies (SQL, Oracle, Redis, MongoDB) Knowledge of Railway Traffic Management domain Ability to work in a team environmentEducation / QualificationsMaster’s degree / bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science)LanguagesGood Knowledge of English (written & spoken)Equal Opportunity Statement At Hitachi Rail, there is a place for everyone.
