And that\'s where you come in.Firenze, Italy (Hybrid)Job ObjectiveThe Solution Engineering Manager with a large professional experience (min. 5 years) in the technical management of complex integrated Transportation programs/projects. The Solution Engineer Manager role requires a sound technical knowledge of all the main technologies and subsystems used to implement IT, Telecom and Security services of the way in which these subsystems are integrated and of the operational scenarios.ResponsibilitiesIs responsible for all technical activities: identifying and analyzing the requirements (Contractual and System Requirements phase), defining the architecture, allocating the requirements to the system components, defining the interfaces between components, developing solutions (System Design and Development phases), integrating, verifying, validating and qualifying the system (System Integration and Acceptance phases)Is responsible for the conformity with requirements, quality, performance, Customer satisfaction budget and schedule relevant to Engineering packagePlans, controls and coordinates all technical activitiesProposes the technical solution and the general network architectureOversees configuration management activities and solution integrity with the Configuration ManagerProvides support for deployment/installation and site acceptance activitiesEnsures coordination and communication among the various players in technical activities and a smooth transition of responsibility to \"Installation and Commissioning\" organizationIs the main technical interface for the Customer CounterpartCoordinates with his technical Customer Counterpart according to Contractual requirementParticipates to Program/Project Meetings (internal and external) when scheduled and/or requestedCompiles reports concerning his role and responsibilities according to internal reporting procedureDrafts official letters and correspondence to be sent to the CustomerCoordinates and controls of the different Vendors and SubcontractorsCorrectly applies Quality procedures and HSE procedures and instruction of his teamContinually reviews the technical Scope of Work and keeps updated the scope baseline informing constantly the PM and the Contract ManagerProposes variation requests to PM for submitting to the CustomerProvides support to the Contract Manager in preparing the Claim Files (towards Vendors, Subcontracts and Customer)Approves all the technical documentation to be submitted to the CustomerSupports the Purchasing Department in the definition of subcontracts and standard clauses to be inserted in the SubContract Agreement and in the Purchase OrdersPlans and conducts the Program/Project reviews in line with Company standard processesQualifications and experienceKnowledge of System Engineering discipline and processesProfessional experience in managing Customer and Suppliers relationshipsCapability of coordinating resources in an international contextFluency in Italian and English is mandatoryMinimum 5 years proven experience in designing complex integrated Transportation ProjectsAvailability to travelExperience in design, integration and validation referred to one or more of the below listed systems:Communication Systems (IP Networking, Network Security, PABX and VoIP, WLAN, TETRA, LTE, Structured Cabling, Public Address Systems, etc.)Tramway Signalling SystemsVideo Communication Systems (Public Information Displays, Passenger Information Systems, Video Broadcasting Systems, Master Antenna Television, etc.)Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, Digital Video and Voice recording, Fire Protection Systems, etc.)SCADA and Environmental Control Systems, Building Management and Information SystemsThe following competencies are appreciated:Basic knowledge of Cybersecurity and Information security (Application Firewalling (UTM), Access Control Rules, Packet Inspection and Intruder Detection Systems)Virtualized architectures (HW, Hypervisor and SW architecture)Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
