We were meant to fly.Laboratory SpecialistAs Laboratory Specialist, you will demonstrate expertise in organizing day‑to‑day laboratory operations, resolving issues and nonconformances using the FLIGHT DECK methodology, and introducing new analytical methods.Essential ResponsibilitiesManage daily sample intake, workflow, and analysis throughputManage preventive and corrective maintenance orders; coordinate with external partners and service providersIdentify and drive improvements in Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) through lean problem‑solving to improve turnaround time, first‑pass yield, and on‑time delivery; standardize sample flow and priority managementTrain and mentor team members on methods, instrumentation, and compliance requirementsSupport R&D activities, including planning and executionExecute routine calibrations, qualifications, and preventive maintenance; coordinate service when neededCommunicate findings to cross‑functional teams; elevate deviations and nonconformances promptlyManage instrument logs, reference standards, and calibration certificatesManage inventory of reagents, consumables, and reference materials; ensure proper labeling and storageShare and discuss findings within a multidisciplinary team environmentParticipate in internal and external audits; implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Draw clear, concise, evidence‑based conclusionsAdhere to and promote company workplace policies, including safety objectivesContribute to a performance‑oriented work environmentQualifications / RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific disciplineProficiency with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Proficiency in Italian and EnglishWork Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is requiredDesired CharacteristicsPrevious experience in a chemical and/or metallurgy laboratory preferredPassionate about using advanced laboratory instrumentationData‑driven, with strong analytical skills and attention to detailAbility to train and develop self and othersStrong collaboration skills and team‑oriented mindsetStrong written communication skillWhat we offerSmart working and work life‑balanceAvio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work‑life balance.
