Run what runs the world.Tämä Positio RaportoiGlobal Hydropower Business ManagerThe Hydro Power PMO Manager is responsible for governing and overseeing hydro power project execution activities across the Business Line, supporting Local Business Lines in delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget. The role improves portfolio performance, execution excellence, and continuous improvement, while acting as a key escalation point for complex project and customer matters in a global, matrix organization.Applications are welcome from all locations; however, the role requires working in a hybrid model from a hosting ABB office close to the candidate.Main ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and consistently improve the project execution strategy across regional and local Hydro Project OperationsGovern the hydro project portfolio, ensuring consistent application of best practices and early identification of risks and underperforming projectsEnsure full compliance with internal policies, HSE requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligationsSupport sales and operations planning, including early involvement in execution strategy for major or complex projectsPerform and participate in project reviews, risk reviews, and portfolio governance forumsAct as escalation point for critical execution issues and customer-facing challengesCoordinate and support project recovery initiatives for troubled or deteriorating projectsDevelop project execution capability through standardization, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiativesQualifications & ExperienceExtensive experience in project execution within hydro power, energy, or complex industrial infrastructure projectsSkilled in portfolio management, project governance, and oversight of project executionExtensive knowledge of project finance, cost control, risk management, and contract & claims managementDemonstrated ability to coordinate and succeed in matrix and indirect reporting structuresExperience in facilitating continuous improvement and organizational transformation initiativesProficient stakeholder management and communication skills across senior internal and external interfacesSolid understanding of HSE, regulatory, and quality requirements in project execution environmentsUniversity degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a comparable technical disciplineTravel RequirementAverage travel of approximately 20–30%, including possible semi-long international travel, depending on project and business needArvostamme eri taustoista tulevia ihmisiä.
