Job ID: | Amazon.com Services LLCAmazon is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join our Global Subsidiaries Legal team and to lead our work in the Americas. The candidate must have a strong corporate law, corporate governance, and compliance background and be able to supervise legal professionals responsible for forming and maintaining Amazon's subsidiaries in the Americas. The candidate must be able to research and advise on corporate law issues in multiple jurisdictions, execute on complex corporate restructuring projects, and work effectively with outside counsel in foreign jurisdictions. The candidate must have experience with the use and building of AI tools for application in their day‑to‑day work.Basic QualificationsJuris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent5+ years of Corporate Law experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience with the formation and governance of corporate entities as well as corporate restructuring projects in multiple jurisdictionsA proven ability to manage a large number and variety of mission‑critical projects, working with other cross‑functional teams and often in ambiguous environmentsExperience with the use and building of AI tools for application in day‑to‑day workExperience managing legal professionalsExperience with M&A transactions and investmentsExceptional written and verbal communication skillsSound and practical business judgment, as well as common senseEnglish (Fluent)Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,500 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $229,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
