Advanced MES Consultant
Do you want to help leading life sciences companies accelerate digital manufacturing and drive operational excellence through MES solutions? To strengthen our Smart Manufacturing team in Europe, we are looking for a German speaking Advanced MES Consultant with experience from the life sciences industry and strong technical knowledge of MES platforms such as PAS X, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk PharmaSuite, or Tulip. At NNIT, we help our customers improve manufacturing processes through digitalization, standardization, and modern technologies. Our Smart Manufacturing team works closely with global pharmaceutical companies on both local and international MES programs, supporting everything from strategy and design to implementation and optimization. You will join an international team of skilled consultants who combine deep industry insight with strong technical expertise to deliver high quality solutions in complex production environments.
Your Responsibilities
- Advising customers on MES strategy, architecture, and implementation approaches
- Analyzing and optimizing manufacturing and production processes within life sciences
- Leading or supporting MES implementation projects across local and global programs
- Gathering business requirements and translating them into functional and technical solutions
- Supporting vendor evaluations and solution selection processes
- Designing and supporting integrations between MES, ERP systems such as SAP, and automation systems
- Collaborating with stakeholders across production, engineering, automation, quality, and IT
- Preparing project documentation and ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
- Contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous development within the Smart Manufacturing team

Your Qualifications And Experience
- Degree within IT, Engineering, Science, or a related field
- Experience working with MES solutions in regulated production environments
- Hands on experience with at least one of the following MES platforms: PAS X, Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk PharmaSuite, or Tulip
- Understanding of manufacturing processes within the life sciences industry
- Strong understanding of IT and OT manufacturing architecture
- Experience integrating MES solutions with ERP systems such as SAP and level 2 automation systems
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured and well organized approach to work
- Strong documentation and problem solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in international project teams
- Fluent communication skills in German and English - only candidates with business fluency in German can be considered so please only apply if you meet this requirement

Location and travel
We are hiring into our European team in the UK or any EU country in which NNIT has a business entity - Germany, Denmark, Czechia, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain or Switzerland. Travel should be expected but will typically remain below 20 percent and limited to necessary business trips.
- Fluency in oral and written English and German are both essential to be considered for this role
- Additional language skills are advantageous but not essential
