In this role, you will design, develop, and execute automated test scripts on aHardware-in-the-Loop (HIL)test environments to validate embedded controllers of the elevator system.Why Schindler?Shape the Future:Contribute to next-generation embedded systems with advanced testing and validation.Global Impact:Your work will ensure reliability and safety for millions of passengers worldwide.Collaborate with Experts:Join a multidisciplinary team in embedded software, electronics, and systems engineering.Continuous Learning:Explore and implement the latest tools and best practices in HIL, automation, and CI/CD.Your ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain automated test scripts(in Schindler Test Environment) on variousHIL systems(simulating the elevator’s physics like electrics, electronics, mechanics), for validation ofembedded systems(elevator controllers).Execute development/qualification test campaignson multiple HIL configurations, including HW modifications, deep failed case root‑cause analysis and sound test reporting.Support early integration of new functions on HIL for accelerated development.Develop and maintainPython‑based helper tools(e.g., report generators, batch file generators, XML modifiers, change impact analysis tools, …).Definition andValidation of new model functions .Collect and visualize test data (e.g. web dashboards).Work with event‑based communication ( middleware ,CAN, TCP/IP, UDP, SSH, UART ) and corresponding diagnostic tools.What You BringExperience:3–5 yearssoftware development(structured design) andtest design for automated testing of an embedded system,preferably in HIL environments.Strong programming/scripting inPython(for tools, not automation).Familiarity withGit, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence , XML, and VS Code.Solid background inelectrical, mechanical, and embedded systems(IT‑only profiles are not sufficient).Ability toread electrical schematicsand perform HW modifications.Familiarity withmiddlewarecommunications and bus systems.Agile mindsetand ability to work in lab environments.Disciplined working styleand adherence to review process and coding guidelines.Qualifications That Will Strengthen Your ProfileExperience in real time modelling (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink)Familiarity with diagnostic tools (Vector or equivalent).Knowledge ofLua ,C/C++Experience with Linux OS ( SSH )Ready to Elevate Your Career?
