This role focuses on the application layer supporting enterprise‑grade web hosting & critical services , ensuring high availability, security & performance across a large‑scale infrastructure. Field : national provider of cloud , hosting , domain registration , data center & trust services (including certified email / PEC )Key ResponsibilitiesOperate & maintain the ELK / Kafka ‑based log ingestion & search stack, ensuring high availability , scaling & fine‑tuning (topics, partitions, shards, indices, ILM, retention)Proactively monitor capacity & performance ; analyze monthly reports & trends to forecast growth & prevent incidentsEngineer & optimize Logstash pipelines, Grok patterns & parsing/transport paths; reprocess failed events & reduce parsing failure ratesImplement patch management , address end‑of‑life scenarios & apply security fixes according to guidelines provided by the Security functionMaintain observability dashboards & metrics ( Grafana / Elastic ) & improve alerting fidelityAdminister & optimize application servers & reverse proxy components, including Nginx , Apache Server, Tomcat & WildFly , ensuring scalability & resilienceConfigure & maintain reverse proxy & load balancing for high‑traffic hosting environmentsRequirementsSolid hands‑on experience administering ELK ecosystems at scale, including Kafka / Zookeeper , Logstash , Elasticsearch cluster sizing & tuningStrong Linux systems administration ( Ubuntu , CentOS / RHEL , Debian ) in clustered HA environments; working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012–2019 as neededStrong expertise in Nginx (reverse proxy, SSL termination, caching) & Apache Server configurationHands‑on experience with Tomcat & WildFly & troubleshooting application‑level issuesKnowledge of load balancing , high availability clustering & performance tuning for web hosting platformsIaC: Ansible (roles, inventories, AWX) & Terraform for provisioning & drift controlCI/CD & versioning: GitLabFamiliarity with ITIL processes (Incident/Change/Service Request) & ticketing via JIRAClear technical writing for run books & operational documentationLocation : completely full remote – Italy-basedFreelancers are highly welcomed tooCandidates of any gender identity , after reviewing the mandatory privacy notice available at are kindly requested to submit their CV in PDF format, quoting the reference number (Ref. --- ).
