Your contributions will be instrumental in our ongoing efforts to provide the best possible experience for both sellers and customers in this dynamic and growing market.Key Job Responsibilities Data Analysis & Management Master Amazon's diverse data resources and apply them effectively for business solutionsWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze complex datasetsDevelop and maintain ETL processes for reporting solutionsEnsure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across local and global platformsBusiness Intelligence Development Design and implement comprehensive reporting systems and success metricsCreate self-service reporting platforms to enable data-driven decision makingAutomate data analysis processes to improve efficiency and scalabilityBuild and maintain dashboards that provide actionable insightsCollaboration & Strategy Partner with business teams to understand their challenges and data needsTransform business requirements into effective analytical solutionsCoordinate with global teams to maintain data infrastructure integrityProvide data-driven recommendations to support business decisionsTechnical Infrastructure Manage local data infrastructure and reporting systemsImplement best practices for data storage, retrieval, and analysisEnsure system performance and reliabilityCollaborate with global teams on infrastructure improvementsAbout the team LATAM Marketplace BI team is responsible for ensuring our stakeholders and leaders have the data they need to make data-driven decisions and drive the success of our business. We are structured into verticals (business topics) and promote knowledge sharing in between those topics every week. In our team, a Business Intelligence Engineer can be responsible for 1 or more business verticals, driving his BI projects end to end, this involves: setting up the BI roadmap, managing stakeholders, diving deep on data for that topic and designing and building SQL Tables, KPIs, reports, dashboards and analysis.Basic Qualifications 10+ years of professional or military experience6+ years of SQL experienceExperience programming to extract, transform and clean large (multi-TB) data setsExperience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar toolsExperience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadershipExperience building measures and metrics, and developing reporting solutionsPreferred Qualifications Experience with statistical analytics and programming languages such as R, Python, Ruby, etc.Experience using Cloud Storage and Computing technologies such as AWS Redshift, S3, Hadoop, etc.Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of resultsKnowledge of data warehousing and data modelingOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
