Wood is recruiting a Senior Piping Specialist within the Life Sciences group, working on projects across Europe and internationally.
The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.#LI-HybridThe RoleThe Senior Piping Specialist will work on projects for international clients in a multinational and multicultural environment, applying the approach of electrical design in Life Sciences and the working procedures of a large, international engineering company.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent professional qualification.
Extensive experience in piping design and plant layout within Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Petrochemical, Energy, or Process Industry projects.
In-depth knowledge and proven experience in all aspects of piping design, plant layout, and piping engineering practices.
Strong knowledge of applicable international engineering codes and standards, including ASME, EN, ISO, and relevant regulatory requirements.
Good understanding of materials of construction, insulation systems, valves, specialty components, and instrumentation associated with piping systems.
Thorough knowledge of process equipment and the ability to design and route major process and utility piping systems in accordance with P&IDs, engineering standards, GMP requirements, and project specifications.
Demonstrated capability to develop piping layouts in critical, congested or highly regulated plant areas.
Proven experience with complex piping systems, including lined piping, jacketed piping, hygienic process piping, and specialty systems, considering fabrication, installation, and maintenance requirements.
Strong expertise of BIM methodology and proceduresDemonstrated understanding of risk-based design methodologies, safe plant layout practices, quality management systems and engineering change control processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
Professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Strong expertise in the administration, customization, and effective use of AVEVA E3D and related 3D design tools. Knowledge of other 3D modelling software is considered a plus.
Availability for assignments and/or business travel within Italy and internationally is a mandatory requirement.

Salary:
