OpenShift Consultant – Rome, ItalyRed HatOverviewThe Red Hat Consulting team is looking for an OpenShift Consultant to join us in Rome, Italy. In this role you will help our customers create possibilities, solve problems, and build strong working relationships.What You Will DoAssess, design, and implement key Red Hat offerings, including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Tower, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), OpenShift Container Storage, OpenStack, and Kubernetes-based technologies.Implement automated and containerized cloud application platform solutions, focusing on infrastructure issues such as networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, high availability, and system resiliency.Learn new technologies quickly, including container orchestration, registries, build strategies, cloud storage, and software‑defined networks.Serve as a subject‑matter expert on site, addressing technical, development, or IT strategic needs.Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, testing, and deployment of complex open‑source solutions.Adapt to changing customer demands and respond professionally to incidents, escalations, and exceptions.Deliver quality results on site and post‑engagement within the assigned project timeline and scope.Participate in sales and proposal presentations as needed.What You Will Bring3+ years of experience in Linux system administration, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or a derivative.2+ years of experience with Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry, Docker, or other container‑related technologies and PaaS.2+ years of scripting or programming experience.Knowledge of systems management, including installation, custom channels, virtualized system deployment, basic client‑based security, and repositories.Bonus Points ForProven experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Ansible Tower, OpenStack, and other Red Hat products.Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices (Agile, Waterfall, Incremental).An Agile and DevOps mindset and willingness to learn agile practices.Red Hat certifications.Fluency in Italian and the ability to communicate and write in English in an international environment.The role is remote but requires occasional travel to customer sites.Seniority LevelNot ApplicableEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionConsulting, Information Technology, and SalesIndustriesSoftware Development and IT Services, IT ConsultingAbout Red HatRed Hat is the world’s leading provider of enterprise open source software solutions, using a community‑powered approach to deliver high‑performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
