THE ROLE You will be working in a multi-disciplinary group, where people with different backgrounds collaborate, each with their own expertise, to support IIT research activity. You will be working in the Data Science and Computation Facility coordinated by Dr. Sergio Decherchi. Aim of this position is to support the maintenance and development of the chemical informatics infrastructure of the Institute. The candidate will be the main maintainer and developer of the codes and databases which manage the system. Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:being the main maintainer and developer of the infrastructure codes. Manage/Develop codes and databases underlying the infrastructure. Interact with IIT users to support troubleshooting and development of new features. Interact with the ICT department to ensure the full interoperability of systems. Interact with vendors and oversee software updates and the installation of new software components. Manage the purchase of licenses and software.ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTSMaster’s degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, engineering or related disciplines. Linux system administration knowledge. Knowledge of Apptainer/Docker systems. Knowledge of Oracle SQL. Knowledge of Kubernetes Knowledge of the Git versioning system. Good knowledge of the English language. A cooperative approach with the stakeholders. Accuracy and good analytical skills.ADDITIONAL SKILLSKnowledge of Angular/React Strong problem-solving attitude.
