The impact of genomics on the future of medicine and healthcare will be massive, and our mission is to enhance the diagnosis and treatment of genetic diseases through the use of genomic information.
Our VisionSince 2016, we have leveraged artificial intelligence (ML & GenAI) and bioinformatics to guide our development. We have brought to market eVai and VarChat, two best-in-class solutions for identifying causative variants of genetic diseases and making the best therapeutic decisions for patients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain bioinformatics workflows to process germline and somatic whole-genome and targeted sequencing data;
- Implement reproducible and robust computational DNA-Seq based pipelines for secondary data analysis (from Fastq to VCF) and tertiary data analysis (from VCF to final interpretation);
- Implement analysis for other sequencing applications or novel technologies;
- Constantly optimize computational workflows and maximize cost-effectiveness;
- Customer support.
- MS or PhD in Computational Science, Bioinformatics or equivalent;
- +2 years' experience in analysis of high-throughput sequencing data and setting up their computational workflows based on workflow languages (i.e. Cosmos, Nextflow) and software containers (i.e. singularity, dockers);
- Proficient in Python, bash scripting, Linux environment
- Excellent computational skills, particularly regarding High-Performance Computing;
- Experience with AWS (Amazon Web Services) is a plus;
- High degree of analytical and organizational skills;
- Strong communication (verbal and written), presentation and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English and Italian;
- Willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities and undertake challenging tasks and/or projects;
- Strong leadership skills and proactivity with clear understanding of the balance of innovation, smart risks and timely project delivery.
- Salary will depend on qualification and experience;
- Starting date: immediate;
- Place of work: Pavia, Italy;
- Possibility to opt for agile work up to 8 days per month
